Artwork Statement

While working on "we taking birth from the soil," I found myself deeply attuned to the universal concept of birth, particularly the continuous movement and effort involved in the creation of our world. During this time, I came across the phrase "Deus faber," which resonated with me deeply, representing the idea of the Creator as a dedicated craftsman tirelessly shaping the world.

Exploring various myths of creation and origin, from the God of Heaven in Vietnam to Nuwa in China and the Genesis story of the creation of the Universe and Humans, I began to perceive these figures as "engineers" or "skilled artisans" sculpting the world. I believe that every act of creation, whether intellectual or physical, leaves behind traces—manuscripts, sketches, and notes detailing the formation of all living beings. Before assuming their current forms, I see a period of experimentation, a time when they were "in the making." Just as the universe holds its own records and sketches, I imagine that humanity underwent trials and adjustments before taking on its present shape.

These artistic expressions serve as a prelude to those "records," offering small glimpses into the primordial mind and creativity of gods—an imaginary archive of the world before humanity.
